CALL FOR ENTRIES

Tacocat Cooperative is asking artists to review their work past and present to choose a masterwork they believe to be their best. The selected work should reflect the artist's ability to handle medium, convey theme, and present professionally. By asking them to analyze their work critically, Tacocat Cooperative hopes to challenge artists to find the one piece they feel is most successful.

Selection Criteria:
We will be looking for work that best meets the theme. Only a small group of works may be selected for this exhibition, as Tacocat is looking for quality over quantity.. Artists will attend the exhibition to see which works have been selected by the jury. The exhibition is designed to be a critical review of work in all aspects. Everything from the statement provided by the artist about the work to the professional handling of display will be taken into consideration during the jury process.

Jury Process:
Artists submit online and drop off work to be juried in person. Tacocat Cooperative will be joined by guest jurors Tom Katzenmeyer, President of the Greater Columbus Arts Council and Mary Gray, Director of the Ohio Arts Council Riffe Center Gallery. With their assistance, works will be narrowed down to a very small selection of works that meet the selection criteria. During the opening reception, audience members will be given ballots to select which of this small group is most deserving of the masterwork title. The top selection will receive an award equal to 50% of the total entry fees.

Guidelines:
Artists are able to submit one piece of artwork.
There are no size or medium restrictions.
The presentation of the work must be considered by the artist.
